I Know

Jeanne Calment was born in 1875 and died in 1997. She was 122 years old and by current records is the longest-lived human. She was nicknamed “l’oubliée de dieu” (the one God forgot).

In the 19th century the average life expectancy in Europe was 40 years. Today it is 80 years. Suppose that trend continues. Imagine that we succeeded in slowing down the ageing process or even stopping it. What would life look like if it lasted a few centuries?
